I definitely felt like I was in a holiday film, so make sure to visit it too!

Opened in November 2023, this rink has quickly become the crown jewel of the Pearl’s holiday festivities. Also known as the largest outdoor ice skating rink in all of Texas, how big the ice skating rink is in person isn’t the only thing that’s impressive, the entire experience was everything I hoped for and more!
Being right across from the Pearl’s South parking lot, getting to the rink is a quick walk. I’d recommend getting there early because I got there at 7:30 pm and it was really busy! After paying for your ticket, expect a pair of rental skates and an hour to skate your heart out.
When To Skate at the Ice Skating San Antonio Rink Near The Pearl
While the ice skating rink is open from 3:00 pm – 10:00 pm every day, get there as soon as they open before the holiday rush begins! Make sure to visit this year, the Ice Skating Rink by the Pearl’s open from November 23 to December 31, 2023.

To skate under the sparkling lights for an hour, remember that children under 3 years old are free, those under 5 years old require an accompanying adult skater, and children that are 12 years old or younger are required to be supervised by an adult.
For those not skating, you can simply buy a Winter Wonderland pass to experience everything holiday-themed that the Pearl has to offer. Buy the tickets here:

There are a bunch of photo-op areas and a festive, fun swinging tree here too! I stopped by Quality Daughter but you definitely have endless options with the abundance of restaurants at the Pearl. I didn’t get to do everything on the list, but here are some holiday activities to do after skating at the Pearl’s Ice Skating Rink:

- Grinch Greenery
- Candy Land
- Gingerbread House
- Winter Wheel
The Pearl’s Pop-Up Ice Rink may be temporary, but the memories it creates will last a lifetime. It’s a reminder that even in the heart of Texas, winter can be a wonderland of twinkling lights, joyful laughter, and frosty fun!
