The Golden Age of Mexican Cinema | Macario (1960)
Join everyone at the Main Plaza Conservancy to experience the golden age of Mexican cinema.
Each week, you’ll watch a movie that explores this era that spanned three decades. In this time, comedies, romances, and dramas were produced, proving they are gold.
This week, it’s the 1960 film Macario. Based on the novel by B. Traven, this film follows the life of poor indigenous woodcutter Macario who longs to satisfy his constant hunger. His life changes dramatically when he encounters three mysterious figures.

77th Annual Memorial Day Picnic & BBQ
Celebrate the men and women who gave their lives for this country with a picnic and barbeque.
For a $20 donation, you’ll get a 3-meat plate with brisket, chicken, sausage, potato salad and green beans. But it’s absolutely free to enter and to just have fun.
