Since the first time the Travis Park Ice Skating Rink opened its doors or floors in 2019, hundreds of people have made the trip downtown, and this year, I was one of them! The Rotary Ice Rink by Valero has been open since November 17 and will be available every day until January 15, 2024. While I made my way to the ice on a Monday night, you can visit the Travis Park Ice Skating rink every day! It was busy when I was skating around so I’d recommend coming here as early as possible.

Operating Hours: Monday – Thursday 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm | Friday 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm | Saturday 11:00 am – 11:00 pm | Sunday 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Holiday Tickets at the Rotary Ice Rink at Travis Park
While it was free to get into the park, you have to purchase tickets to skate. You can buy the following tickets here. Please note that these are the prices without taxes:
- General Admission: $15
- Cheap Skate Nights (Tuesday): $7
- Valero Sponsor: $7
- Military and First Responders (Monday): $10
To reserve and buy a ticket, click on the link above and choose your preferred date and time. Pay and wait for the receipt and a link for your waiver(s) to be emailed to you. Afterward, you should receive your E-tickets in your email!
Tips for Visiting the Rotary Ice Rink at Travis Park

Being downtown, you don’t have to worry about food options. I got Voodoo Donuts before getting on the ice and noticed a couple of food trucks that I’ll check out next time! There’s also parking all around the park but keep a lookout for towing areas!
Again, it got busy with the Ice Skating Rink, Christmas Tree, and lights around so bring your friends or family for this budget-friendly holiday activity!
The Spirit of Christmas at the Rotary Ice Rink at Travis Park 2023
While I only visited the Travis Park Ice Skating Rink to skate, other events happen here too! Aside from Military Appreciation Night and Cheap Skate Night, there is Skating with the Starts on select Mondays and Come See Santa every Sunday from 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm until December 24th.
