Lights Alive! runs from late November 2025 through January 4, 2026. It operates seven days a week, rain or shine, so you can enjoy the dazzling displays regardless of weather conditions. However, be sure to check for any special closures or variations around holidays.

Operating Hours:

  • Sunday through Thursday: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m
  • Friday and Saturday: 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Note that some dates may feature adjusted hours, especially during late December, when the event might close slightly earlier, around 9:30 p.m., or run later on Fridays and Saturdays.

Lights Alive San Antonio is located at 5931 Roft Road, San Antonio, TX 78253, in the Alamo Ranch area, which is northwest of downtown San Antonio. Here’s everything you need to know to get there smoothly and park with ease:

Directions

From central San Antonio, head towards the northwest side of the city using major highways like US-1604 or Loop 1604. Take the Alamo Ranch Parkway exit and follow the signs to Roft Road, which is the main entrance to the event. The drive takes about 20-30 minutes from downtown, depending on traffic.

Vehicle Restrictions: Please note that no buses, RVs, trailers, or vehicles over 7’10” tall are allowed in the parking area.

Parking

Parking is free at the Winter Wonderland Park-n-Play area, located just after the drive-thru light experience. This lot has a dedicated space for visitors, including handicap-accessible spots and ramps for convenience.

On peak nights, especially Fridays and Saturdays, parking can get busy. Arrive early to avoid long queues and ensure you get a spot.
