You can add another Texas drive through the safari to your list. Exotic Resort Zoo, which typically offers guided safari tours, has suspended normal tours and instead has now opened up its gates for private vehicles to brave the zoo.

However, you better get to this one as soon as possible, because it’s only open for private vehicles during the pandemic.

“We’re taking it back old school, for the first time since 1995!” the website says. “Due to COVID-19, we have decided to stop our guided tours until further notice. However, we are not stopping the fun! You can drive through our park at the comfort and safety of your vehicle, for this time only!”

Located in Johnson City, this is one of the closest drive-thru safaris to San Antonio. It can easily be visited on a one-day trip. Or you could add it as part of your next Texas road trip.

Tickets are $16.95 for adults, $15.95 for seniors, and $13.95 for kids 2-12. You can also purchase sacks of feed for $6 a bag.
