From New Braunfels to La Cantera, there are some wonderful Christmas tree-lighting events in San Antonio that you should look out for this year. So bundle up, head out with your family and friends, and kick off the season right.

Christmas Tree Lighting San Antonio 2023
Christmas Tree Lighting at Rockville Plaza

What: The Six Flags holiday party blast is one to look out for when it comes to San Antonio holiday celebrations, and their Christmas tree lighting is one you shouldn’t miss. That’s because it won’t just be a one-time big event but a nightly event from November 18 to December 24.
So head on over and watch as their 60-foot tree is lit up every night with thousands of sparkling red, green, and white lights. After that, go ahead and check out the park’s tons of other fun activities. Watch Santa performances, eat holiday-themed treats, or go ride after ride again and again. Enjoy the holidays!

39th Annual H-E-B Christmas Tree Lighting Event

What: H-E-B’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting event is back at Travis Park!
Get caught up in the holiday magic here. Witness the giant tree light up with thousands of lights and tons of handmade ornaments. Aside from the lighting, there are plenty of activities to do, like holiday crafts, a movie screening of The Grinch, giveaways, food trucks, a visit from Santa Claus, and live music.
The tree will then be revealed at 6 pm, so watch out!
When: Thursday, November 23, 2023, 6 pm

Annual Tree Lighting at La Cantera

What: La Cantera Resort and Spa will also be joining this year’s San Antonio Christmas Tree Lighting 2023 events, and it’s one you can’t miss!
The event will feature live holiday jazz music from renowned jazz musician, Patrick Lamb, and special performances by Crazy Kringle & his Sugar Plum Showgirls from Las Vegas.
More than that, enjoy festive cocktails, holiday treats, hot cocoa, and more! Toy soldiers and Mr. and Mrs. Clause themselves will also be there to spread the holiday cheer!
All ticket proceeds from this event will be donated to the Children’s Bereavement Center.
When: Thursday, November 30, 2023, 7 pm – 9 pm

Lighting of the Lights in Helotes

What: If you’re around the City of Helotes on December 1, better not miss their Christmas Tree Lighting event!
Join the community and watch as the city’s Christmas tree lights up the place and the spirits of everyone who’ll come to watch. The event will also feature performances by local elementary school choirs and the Helotes Area Community Band.
If you get cold, there will also be coffee stands available to bring you warm, delicious coffee.
When: Friday, December 1, 2023, 6 pm – 7:30 pm

38th Annual Tree of Lights in New Braunfels

What: The New Braunfels Marketplace will be helping light up San Antonio this holiday season with their 38th Annual Tree of Lights.
Join Hope Hospice and the community this special evening to celebrate the holiday season and honor loved ones lost. This year, Santa will be lighting up a 65-foot tree adorned with colorful ornaments.
Enjoy festive music, fill up on tasty treats and drinks, and be part of the community. You can also buy a teddy bear to give.
And with the Light Up a Life campaign, shine a light for your loved ones and keep their memory alive. Your gift not only puts a smile on someone’s face, it will also honor your loved ones.
