Phil Hardberger Park

Phil Hardberger is one of the best places to hike with dogs. With two entrances, the park features things for everyone. The East entrance has an educational center, playground, and dog park. The West entrance welcomes you to an event venue and picnic area. If both sound enjoyable, no worries, there is an awesome land bridge connecting the two! Eisenhower Park 

Eisenhower is a local favorite. With your pick of easy to difficult, the hiking trails will have you working up a sweat. At the top, there’s a lookout for you to catch a breathtaking view if you have a breath left.

McAllister Park 

This park features multiple hiking and biking trails. It’s one of the less hilly hikes making it a dog-friendly walking trail. If your furry friend gets thirsty, there’s a shaded dog park with water for them to take a sip.

Medina River Natural Area

Medina River is a beautiful place to hike and spend the day at. If your furry friend gets hot, they’re more than welcome to splash around in the water, just keep your eye on them!

Comanche Lookout Park 

Comanche is often forgotten about due to its small size. However, this is one of the most pet-friendly hiking trails due to that. And though it’s small it’s the fourth-highest point in San Antonio, making the view at the top worthwhile.

Orsinger Park

Orsinger is another small park with trails. But this is a great place to go if you just want a quick stroll with your furry friend. But make sure you keep your dog on the leash!

O.P. Schnabel Park 

 This large park offers a playground, basketball court, and choices of trails. While there is no dog park, the hiking trails are dog-friendly.

Fox Pak Trailhead

This short hiking trail is probably one of the least known places to hike with dogs. The flat trails make it enjoyable to walk your furry friend.
