You can also upgrade your night with priority entry to select rides and haunts, plus reserved seating at participating shows.

Sinister Sips: An Orin Swift Masquerade at The St. Anthony
Put on a masquerade mask and settle in for four courses of food and four tasting pours from Orin Swift Cellars at Sinister Sips inside The St. Anthony’s Esencia.
Executive Chef Leo Dávila, a James Beard Award nominee, has put together a Halloween dinner that leans into the season without turning the evening into another crowded costume party.
The menu includes The Forbidden Bao with pork belly and wild mushroom, The Butcher’s Masquerade featuring Wagyu short rib, butternut squash, and salsa macha, and Autumn’s Last Secret, a pumpkin tres leches topped with pepita brittle and candied pumpkin.
Each course is paired with an Orin Swift wine pour, so the evening is as much about working your way through the menu as it is about the masquerade theme.
Masks are encouraged, and reservations are required, so this is one to put on the calendar before your Halloween plans fill up.

Trolley Pub San Antonio Halloween Hops

The Trolley Pub is a 15-seat pedal-powered bar with electric assist, so you and your group can cruise through downtown while keeping the drinks, music, and Halloween costumes going.
You bring your own beer, wine, or hard cider, and the trolley provides the cooler and Bluetooth speaker. Then, a certified captain handles the ride and helps your group decide where to stop, so you’re not locked into a rigid route.
The two-hour ride includes three bar stops, giving you a built-in Halloween bar crawl without having to walk between venues.
Halloween weekend is one of the busiest times for the Trolley Pub, with rides priced around 35–45 per seat. You can reserve the entire trolley for your group or join a mixer ride if you have a smaller party.
One important rule: keep your drinks on the trolley when you get off at a stop. San Antonio’s open-container rules still apply once you’re out on the street.

Know Before You Go: Halloween Night Out in San Antonio
Most of the big adult Halloween parties San Antonio hosts are concentrated around the River Walk, downtown, and St. Mary’s Strip, but you can reach these areas easily from neighborhoods like Alamo Heights, Stone Oak, and Helotes.
If you’re heading downtown on Halloween night, give yourself extra time for traffic and parking. Rideshare is the easiest option if you plan to drink, while city garages can be a better bet than searching for street parking once the crowds arrive.
Check each venue’s rules before you leave, especially if you’re wearing a mask or bringing costume props. Some events encourage elaborate costumes, while others may restrict full-face coverings or certain accessories.
Common Questions about Halloween Parties in San Antonio
What can adults do for fun on Halloween in San Antonio?
There’s plenty beyond the usual bar scene. Spend the night hopping between River Walk bars, join a Halloween crawl, catch live music on St. Mary’s Strip, dress up for a costume contest, or book a more polished option like a masquerade dinner.
You can also build your own Halloween night out by starting at one event and moving to another later in the evening.
Are costumes mandatory at these Halloween parties?
Not always. Most adult Halloween events encourage costumes, but the rules vary by venue. Some parties have costume contests and cash prizes, while others simply let you show up in whatever Halloween look you want. Check the individual event rules before going, particularly if you plan to wear a full-face mask or carry costume props.
What is the best area in San Antonio for Halloween River Walk nightlife?
The central River Walk is your best bet if you want several bars and parties within easy walking distance. Areas around Crockett Street and the downtown stretch of the River Walk give you plenty of options for bar hopping, while St. Mary’s Strip is a better choice if you want live music, dancing, and a more local bar scene.
