2026 World Heritage Festival

Celebrate the San Antonio Missions, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, during the 11th Annual World Heritage Festival hosted by the City of San Antonio World Heritage Office and its partners. 

Kick off the festivities with the ABCs of World Heritage from 10 AM to 11 AM at the World Heritage Center to learn about mission ranches like Rancho de las Cabras with a story and activity, with open play starting at 9:45 AM. 

Continue the celebration by examining mission-era artifacts with the Alamo Archaeology team, or enjoy a special table reading of Federico Garcia Lorca’s House of Bernarda Alba led by Tony Plana. 

On Friday, September 11, join The Conservation Society for a discussion on preservation and a tour of the Granary, and wrap up the week on Saturday, September 12, with the Tour de Las Misiones, featuring bike rides ranging from 7 to 22 miles, 5K and 10K walk-and-run options through the Mission Reach and Mission San Jose.
