If you search Google for National Hispanic Heritage Month, your screen will be filled with streamers of the many Latinx cultures will fill your screen. While it’s known as Hispanic Heritage Month, the term Latinx Heritage Month can also be used for more inclusion.

San Antonio has some of the largest Hispanic heritage in a single city. So of course, there’s plenty of Hispanic Heritage Month activities and events to partake in!

 

What is National Hispanic Heritage Month?

National Hispanic Heritage Month is a month where histories, cultures, and works of Latino or Latinx heritage are celebrated and recognized. These types of celebration and recognition happen with community events or eating Hispanic foods.

 

When is Hispanic Heritage Month 2021?

This year National Hispanic Heritage Month runs from 15 September to 15 October 2021. During this period, you can expect Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations locally and nationally.

If you head out to the Bandera Market, this month’s theme is Hispanic heritage. There will be a variety of vendors from different countries. Celebrate and see what Hispanic artworks look like.

Outdoor Film Series: West Side Story
