Spend the day exploring the Village with a modern Quinceañera Fashion Show, lively folk dance performances, and a Community Fun Zone with games and activities for all ages.

As night falls, José Maestas and Michelle Cantú will be lighting up the mood with stand-up comedy, followed by a live performance from Cumbia/Tejano musical guest Gabriela. Be sure to grab a ticket; every purchase enters you into a raffle for a stunning quinceañera dress.

Rey Feo Superhero’s River Parade for Education

Get ready to unleash your inner hero at the Rey Feo Super Heroes River Parade for Education! 

This parade will feature dozens of floats carrying your favorite superheroes gliding down the river. Beyond the floats, the festival also honors our real-life heroes, including first responders and educators.

The festivities at the Arneson River Theatre will also be filled with food, live music, and fun for all ages, and every scholarship awarded to a student brings them one step closer to success.

Living Heritage: A Dia de Los Muertos Presentation

Head to Villa Finale for an intimate evening that features a one-of-a-kind event, “Living Heritage: A Día de Muertos Presentation,” led by renowned designer Araminta Romero. 

Araminta Romero’s iLaCatrina project has graced stages from New York Fashion Week to local San Antonio landmarks, and she’s ready to share her insights. At the celebration, you can get an inside look at the artistry behind the iconic Catrina as you watch a live glam makeup tutorial.

The presentation will also feature the Inspiring Heritage Collection video, a Q&A session, and may even include a live performance by a moving Catrina.

Ready to experience an unforgettable evening of high fashion and tradition? The Shops at La Cantera is hosting an exclusive Día de los Muertos celebration, the Luxury and Heritage Runway, as part of its 20th anniversary season.

This stunning event is a fusion of history and high fashion, staged in the luxury wing in front of Louis Vuitton and Carolina Herrera, featuring the vibrant iLaCatrina collections: México en la Piel, Las Doñas, and Inspiring Heritage.

Get ready for an incredible show brought to life by Miss Universe Latina contestants Nathalya Pedroso and Marcela Delgado, Miss Texas Latina Allegra Rodriguez, and a cast of high fashion models. The night will be elevated with performances by DJ Axelot, the legendary Mariachi Vargas, the acclaimed San Antonio Mastersingers, and tenor Kevin Arratia following his celebrated New York debut.

Raza Cósmica: Xicanx Versus Aliens

Dive into a cosmic adventure and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month San Antonio with the final event of the 5th annual Raza Cósmica: A constellation of Latinx sci-fi cinema. Activist and musician Joaquín Muerte will host a live episode of his podcast, Xicanx Versus Aliens, alongside local artist Amalia Ortiz and editor Rodrigo Rendon.

The conversation will explore UFOs, the paranormal, and more from a person of color perspective.

Stick around after the podcast for a curated selection of cosmic short films, including Canción Cannibal Cabaret, Illegal Alien, SERTAO 2138, and MisTik. And don’t worry about getting hungry. There will be free popcorn for everyone, courtesy of the Latino Collection & Resource Center.

El Pazchuco for Prez

This weekend, prepare for a hilarious and daring theatrical experience at SAY Si Black Box Studio for El Pazchuco for Prez. Written and directed by Rodney Garza, this innovative production invites you into Los United Estates of Aztlan, a parallel universe where “politricks” reign supreme and laughter is the best medicine. 

This play follows El Pazchuco, a zoot-suited lecturer on a wild, unconventional crusade. His bold journey to fulfill a promise challenges the status quo and brings much-needed flair to the electoral scene.

Diez y Seis Mariachi Festival

This Hispanic Heritage Month, come enjoy the Mariachi Festival, which will feature talented middle and high school students from across the city and the surrounding region. MujerArtes 30th Anniversary Kickoff Exhibit and Sale

Zenith of Zeigarnik

Explore art and technology like never before! The Central Library will host its first-ever augmented reality experience, a groundbreaking new exhibition called Zenith of Zeigarnik from local artist Miguel Rodriguez. 

This new body of work celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month San Antonio by exploring memory through digital form. Here, you’ll get to experience the artist’s past drawings reimagined into a multidimensional visual world using 3D modeling and sculpting.

Luminaria’s Pop-Up Art Gallery

An Evening of Poetry with Eddie Vega
