It’s no secret that 2020 hasn’t been an easy year for many people. Due to the coronavirus, many people are sad that they won’t get to see friends and family and are struggling to get into the holiday spirit. But, if you’re looking for a fun and interactive holiday activity to participate in before Christmas arrives? Hemisfair and Centro are collaborating to create a socially distant and safe holiday drive-thru experience. The Hemisfair drive-thru will be held right in the middle of downtown San Antonio for free on December 19th.

This free event will be on December 19th, 2020, from 3-5 pm. The Christmas extravaganza will be held at 434 S Alamo Street. This festival will have photos with Santa Claus, Christmas lights and music, plenty of entertainment, and even 110,400 lbs of ice that will be turned into snowflakes.

The Christmas music for the Hemisfair drive-thru will be provided by the American Caroling Company that will staff the fair with carolers to help you feel merry and bright while you listen to a drum circle from The Synergy Studio. Mandie’s Balloons will also be onsight offering fun and festive holiday décor.

Happy Trails Entertainment will be on the property to provide families with plenty of Christmas animals to observe and Zoomagination will even be there with a reindeer. As if you needed more, there will also be jumping elves from Aqua Acro and a high tech sound system from Galaxy Productions.

Vehicles are expected to enter through East Cesar E. Chavez and Hemisfair Boulevard and cars that come early can look forward to a special surprise. The first 100 cars will get free kettle corn from Pepito’s Italian Ice.

2020 has definitely been a year worth remembering. Between the coronavirus separating many of us from our loved ones, it may feel hard to get in the holiday spirit. Thankfully, multiple vendors across the city of San Antonio have come together in a collaborative spirit to provide the residents of San Antonio with a cheerful respite from the drudge that 2020 has drug us all through in the form of Hemisfar drive-thru.
