It’s finally the start of Fiesta. The 10-day celebration that the city of San Antonio looks forward to year long. While this year isn’t the same in terms of month and amount of events – there’s still something for everyone. So, here’s a guide to celebrating culture and community this year at Fiesta!

Fiesta San Antonio – Event History & Evolution

Fiesta is known as San Antonio’s party with a purpose. It started as a celebration to honor the heroes of the Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto. Fiesta now benefits many non-profit organizations that are full of arts and culture. Many of the money you spend goes towards those organizations, fine arts, education, and more.

Fiesta 2021 San Antonio – Top 5 Events

Instead of the 115 events that usually happen during the span of Fiesta, there will only be 50 this year. This is due to the effort required to put on these events. Two events that won’t happen this year are the Battle of the Flowers and Flambeau parades, but there’s still plenty going on.

The full list of 2021 events can be found here. But if you’re wondering which events are a great way to emerge yourself into Fiesta, these make the top 5!

Each event will have its guidelines. To make sure you know what to expect, you should check the event guidelines beforehand.
