Earth Day 2026 at Woodlawn Lake Park will turn the space into a full-day community celebration of nature, conservation, and sustainability. 

Move through more than 70 community partner exhibits, live music, cultural performances, dance showcases, and hands-on family activities spread across the park.

Free tree and plant giveaways will be available while supplies last, along with Fiesta medals and produce bags from the San Antonio Food Bank. 

Food vendors will also offer vegetarian and vegan options. You will also be able to ride a free e-trolley to explore different areas of the park, from nature play zones to fitness spaces and live performances.

New additions for this year include a book swap at Woodlawn Gym and an โ€œIn Conversation Seriesโ€ featuring the winner of the 2026 Fiesta poster competition.

Drive Electric Earth Month Expo

The Drive Electric Earth Month Expo will take place at Woodlawn Lake Park as part of the larger Earth Day San Antonio celebration. 

You will be able to explore electric vehicles up close, speak with EV owners and experts, and learn how electric driving can fit into everyday life.

Interactive stations will also guide you through topics like charging, incentives, and sustainability, while community partners and local activations will add to the experience.

Earth Day & Arbor Day Community Celebration (New Braunfels)

The New Braunfels Earth Day & Arbor Day Celebration will take place at Headwaters at the Comal with a strong focus on trees, conservation, and community education. 

You will see over 1,000 native Texas trees given away, along with opportunities to learn about local environmental efforts.

The event will also highlight the cityโ€™s long-standing Tree City USA commitment, showing how tree protection is built into both planning and maintenance. Educational exhibitors, vendors, and community partners will add to the experience throughout the day.

It’s a global event that usually coincides with Earth Day, where residents use their phones to document as many wild plants and animals as possible in their city. San Antonio is a regular participant!

Can I get a free tree at all events?

No. While the Woodlawn Lake and New Braunfels events have large tree giveaways, most others focus on education and activities.
