The popular fast-food chain Burger Boy is continuing to grow in San Antonio. This well-known burger joint announced on Monday of this week their plans to open a new location in the Alamo City. The newest location will be at 151 W. Bitters Road near U.S. Hwy 281

Burger Boy’s newest economic endeavor will call a 2,300-square-foot building hope and plans to open in the spring. Marketing director Ramil Rodriguez explains that  “… As a San Antonio icon, Burger Boy #4 will once again pay homage to the oldest rotating sign in Texas with a signature rotating sign of its own,” Burger Boy said in a news release, adding that the new spot was “highly requested.” Burger Boy fans are elated to receive their wish of a new San Antonio location.

Burger Boy’s third location opened at Shaenfield Road and Loop 1604 about a year ago, which proves how rapidly the chain is expanding across town. Before the Shaenfield Road location opened its doors, the second Burger Boy in the city of San Antonio began serving customers at the corner of Potranco Road and Hunt Lane. This location was a popular one and lead the way into more change and expansion for the restaurant name.

The original Burger Boy was opened on the popular St. Mary’s strip back in the 1980s. At the time, the restaurant was owned and operated by the Bates family. The Bates is part of the same entrepreneuring family that created Whopper Burger in the city of San Antonio in the 1950s, unflagging in their efforts to create delicious burgers at a quick pace.

While Carl Bates has since sold the Burger Boy Restaurant chain to a new owner, he still frequently provides guidance and input for the new owners. As the franchise continues to thrive and expand across the city of San Antonio, residents may not be surprised to see multiple new locations popping up across town over the coming years.
