Blue Star Art Contemporary
In the Blue Star Art District, you can find several galleries. However, the Blue Star Contemporary is the first nonprofit venue for contemporary art. San Antonio Museum of Art

Essex Modern City
While this may not be a traditional indoor gallery, true art is far from traditional. At Essex, you can find murals painted on concrete walls in what used to be an abandoned lot.
