If your teen is in a throwing sport, then take them ax throwing! Ax throwing would be a fun way for them to practice their skill. Or help them learn good coordination. There will be a quick training session going over the safety and methods, so there’s no need to worry!

Let’s face it, teenagers tend to be on their phones often. The Pearl is the perfect place for them to take photos that’ll make their friends jealous. At the Pearl, there are several shops and restaurants. Exploring and walking around with a teen is a great way to spend quality time.

Visit Ruby City 

If you have a teen that’s great at drawing or into art, then take them to visit Ruby City. This modern and uniquely built museum has a few interactive installations and can inspire creativity.

Hopscotch is a creative art space with immersive installations and illusions. If your teen likes to take photos, this is the perfect place to go. They also have food trucks and an area to eat. Don’t miss out on a fun day!

Watch a Movie at Alamo Drafthouse

One of the overlooked things to do with teenagers in San Antonio is going to the movies. With online streaming platforms, it’s common to stay home. But make a fun night of it to see a new film in theatres at the Drafthouse, and have dinner while you’re there! It’ll bring back old memories.

Not only will they get their thrill, but you can make sure they are safe and record the entire thing!

Play in Hemisfair Park 

At the base of the Towers of America, not too far along, you can find Hemisfair. In this area, there’s a park for kids and adults to play and enjoy time at. If you want to play table tennis, you can do that. If you want to swing on the swing, that can happen too!

Visit the Zoo

Kids often go to the zoo when they’re young, so why not do when they’re a teen? There are fun things to do with teenagers at the zoo, like feed giraffes, see live encounters, and take photos.

Visit the Japanese Tea Garden

There are many landmarks in San Antonio. The Japanese Tea Garden should be experienced! This is great if your teen loves plants or would like to go somewhere to eat with a scene. Make sure to get a family photo here. The waterfall makes a beautiful backdrop.
