Owl Prowl

Take the family to the Medina River Natural Area for a half-mile hike, where you’ll learn all about owls. As you walk through nature, listen to and view native owls in the area.

The program will also include fun activities and learning opportunities, like a community science project with ebird.

Spend your Friday afternoon at the Patrick Health Public Library. There will be different things to do and discover, from storytime for babies to tech programs for teens to arts and crafts.

The Youth Department will have plenty of hands-on activities, like coloring, board games, and more!

Family Time – Choose Your Woodland Animal

Head over to Artisans Alley at Painting with a Twist for a fun family time with art.

The art instructor will guide you in creating a unique piece of art. This time, the family will create their piece of art of their favorite woodland creature.

Little Pioneers: Black Smithing

Let your kids experience a bit of history with Little Pioneers. They’ll get to learn what happened then through hands-on activities, such as candle-making, quilting, weaving, animal husbandry, stitching, and baking.

This month, they’ll try their hands at blacksmithing! At the end of the day, you’ll get to make and take your own S-hook.

New Year Celebrations Family Fun Day

Family Fun Days at Spring Lake features nature-themed activities, crafts, and more. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community.

This Sunday, you can still celebrate the beginning of 2024. The whole family will enjoy crafts and activities from different New Year celebrations from all over the world.

Every month, families can enjoy Western fun and stories.

Storytime Stampede features 30-minute programs designed for kids 18 months to five years old. Moreover, it will include stories told and acted out. The books will be read out loud and there will be movement activities, songs, and art.

This month, listen to Fry Bread by Kevin Noble Maillard. Then, make drums to kick off the new year with some music.
