San Antonio Official Juneteenth Festival

This is San Antonio’s Juneteenth headquarters. The official festival has called Comanche Park #2 home for over 20 years (it started at the Freeman Coliseum back in 1996), and it’s still the biggest gathering of the weekend.

Expect live gospel and R&B performances, food booths, fish dinners from the Flotilla Fishing and Boating Club, and a vendor marketplace packed with local businesses.

It also doubles as one of the city’s biggest family reunion spots with generations of San Antonio families coming back to Comanche Park every Juneteenth.

Official Juneteenth Freedom Coalition Parade

San Antonio’s Juneteenth Parade has been running for over a decade, and 2026 marks the 11th year with Ronald Gordon (WSAN Radio) and Keith Scott (KROV) as MCs.

The route starts at Sam Houston High School and marches down to Comanche Park #2, featuring about two miles of floats, marching bands, community groups, dancers, and local leaders.

Once the parade wraps around noon, most people will head straight into the festival at Comanche Park.

Get there early. The parade kicks off at 9 AM sharp, and street parking along the route fills up fast.

6th Annual SA Juneteenth Block Party & Fair

What started in 2020 as a block party and rally with 500 people has grown into one of the biggest Juneteenth gatherings in the city, now drawing thousands.

Hosted by the Dream Big Scholarship Fund Inc., the Block Party is a fundraiser with a real mission: closing the disparity gap in the Black community across small business, healthcare, and education. All proceeds go toward scholarships.

The day starts early with “Juneteenth Rise & Thrive,” a free morning wellness session from 7:00–10:00 AM featuring group workouts, music, and community motivation.

After that, the main event opens with live music, DJs, speakers, food trucks, and a vendor market featuring local small businesses, public agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
