Santikos Entertainment recently added their 11th location in the Westlakes area near Loop 410 and Highway 151. The newly renovated theater continues the Santikos vision of bringing the highest quality entertainment experiences to all parts of the San Antonio community. The theater opened on March 31st, 2022 has already been getting rave reviews by moviegoers in the San Antonio area.
About Santikos’ New Theater in Westlakes – What to Expect?
Santikos Entertainment committed itself to bringing this wonderful location into the future and into the hands of the San Antonio cinema community with a complete, detailed renovation after the Austin-based Alamo Drafthouse abandoned its Westlakes location during its struggles with COVID-19.
There is a beautifully renovated sports bar, a brand new arcade and of course comfy seats to enhance your movie experience.

Inside the Newly Renovated Westlakes Location
According to CEO Tim Handren “This new location pays respect to John Santikos by innovating and bringing back to life a theater that needed our touch. Ironically, this location was originally a Santikos theater. It’s great to bring this theater back into the Santikos family where we care about our community, our employees, and our guests.”
Santikos is seeking to take a fresh approach with Westlakes, including a huge new bar and an arcade with nearly 30 games, after a successful theater restoration in New Braunfels. No detail appears to be too tiny when it comes to installing new seats, projectors, and a much-needed deep cleaning.
There is a wonderful slate of films on the horizon, and San Antonio moviegoers have a lot to look forward to. For more details on what’s playing right now – check out Showtimes at Santikos Westlakes Theater
New Theater Furthers The Santikos Mission
The new facility is aligned with Santikos Mission to “provide unparalleled entertainment that creates a lasting benefit in our communities”.
“Santikos expansion is exciting for us. As we expand, so does our benefit into the community,” said Santikos CEO, Tim Handren. “That’s why 100% of our profits go back into the community through the San Antonio Area Foundation to support those people who could be our friends, family, and neighbors.”
