Fun Kids Activities on Friday
Little Artist Workshop (5 years and younger)

Your baby might just be the next big name in a museum! Bring them to this workshop where they get to explore textures, create with colors, and just get messy!
More than that, they’ll learn proper studio habits, like caring for their tools, accepting challenges, talking about their work, and exploring different materials.
We love the DoSeum when we have time for it. Make sure you plan extra time for your kids to roll down the grassy hill out front (if you don’t know yet you soon will).
There is a free parking lot, but it can fill up quickly. Weekdays are usually fine, but I suggest giving yourself extra time just in case.
When: Friday, January 31, 2025, 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm | Every Friday & Sunday
Where: The DoSeum, 2800 Broadway, San Antonio, TX 78209

They’ll get creative (and maybe messy) while being comfy in PJs and slippers. Make sure you pack them a nut-free snack and a drink, and don’t worry about enjoying your free time. They’ll be having plenty of fun.
When: Saturday, February 1, 2025 | 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Where: Kidcreate Studio, 21803 W I-10, San Antonio, TX 78257

Family Stroll

Image credit: Texas Parks and Wildlife Facebook
Perfect for outdoorsy families, this Family Stroll will take you on a hike through nature, checking out wildlife, and plants, and just running free! Your kids (and maybe even you) will learn plenty about what lives around them.
The trail is about 1.25 miles long and the compacted crushed granite surface makes it easier to walk than others in the area. All ages are welcome, and strollers should have no problem rolling along with everyone else.
This activity is free, but there is a Natural Area entrance fee. Because weekends can be crowded, it’s quickest to pre-purchase and print out your pass. This ensures you meet the group on time at the Rock Garden (8:30 am to 8:45 am) so you don’t miss out!
When: Saturday, February 1, 2025 | 9 am – 11 am
Where: Government Canyon State Natural Area, 12861 Galm Rd, San Antonio, TX 78254
