Founder’s Day: Tile Painting Workshop

This Founder’s Day, celebrate at the McNay Art Museum with a fun and creative tile painting workshop.
You’ll get to design and paint your 4×4 tile with vibrant acrylic paints. Experienced artists and people looking for a fun way to spend the day are welcome!

Locals Day at the Briscoe

It’s a good day to be from San Antonio and Bexar County. Enjoy a day of art and culture for free!
Now, “Full STEAM Ahead” is part of Briscoe’s Locals Day! The whole family will get to learn all about the American West through hands-on workshops and activities for all ages.
Plus, join the scavenger hunt where you will navigate the museum to solve clues to discover the answers to the monthly questions. You just might get a special discount at their Hendler Museum store.
When: Sunday, February 2, 2025 | 10 am – 5 pm | First Sunday of each month
Where: The Briscoe Western Art Museum, 210 W Market St, San Antonio, TX 78205
How much: Free for Bexar County residents, Active Military, and children 12 and younger
Kerrville Renaissance Festival

Hear ye! Hear ye! Come to the Kerrville Ren Faire and be delighted with great entertainment, handmade crafts, fantastic food, and plenty of fun and games!
While it may be a smaller Ren Faire, there are plenty of activities, performances, and opportunities to shop and spend your day. Some prefer the micro-dose of festivities, while others consider it a “warm-up” for larger faires like Sherwood.
Plenty is going on at all times, from Vinland Texas Vikings reenactments to the Dublin Harpers musical show, carriage rides, and so much more. To know more about the shows and activities, you can check their website for more details.

Goat Yoga and Mimosas
Before a grueling week, spend your Sunday with mimosas and goats!
A certified yoga instructor will lead you on a 45-minute yoga class where all levels are welcome. As stretch and center yourself, adorable goats will be roaming around.
After the session, you can take photos with them and enjoy a tasty mimosa!

It wouldn’t be a Lunar New Year celebration without a traditional Chinese Dragon Dance to draw in good luck and drive away evil spirits.
Head over to Tim’s Oriental & Seafood Market to watch vibrant and colorful dragons Come early to shop and eat!
Keep in mind this is an outdoor event and will be standing-room only.

Lunar New Year at Pearl
Head over to Pearl and celebrate the Year of the Snake! It’s going to be a festive day with traditional dragon parades, performances, red lanterns, and a bunch of other fun activities that will teach you all about the Lunar New Year celebration.
Keep in mind that most parking lots near The Pearl charge (if not all – I haven’t had any luck finding anything convenient that doesn’t). City parking meters are free on Sundays (if you can nab a spot), but otherwise plan your budget (or your rideshare) accordingly.

Gabby’s Dollhouse Meowseum Discovery Days

Gabby is coming to The DoSeum to give the whole family a meow-gical experience!
Today, kids will get to meet and greet the lovely characters of Gabby’s Dollhouse. They’ll get to say “Hi,” and snap a photo.
If you can’t make it to the meet and greet sessions, there will be plenty of activity sheets you can take home.
