The Youth Orchestras of San Antonio is going to hold online auditions and a virtual summer camp. As COVID-19 continues to shape summer plans across Texas, The Youth Orchestras of San Antonio plan on going virtual. YOSA has introduced a one-week summer camp coupled with an opportunity for new members to audition for the next YOSA season. YOSA is a local San Antonio institution that provides children with musical opportunities.

Interested contenders can register for the camp now on the  YOSA website. The Youth Orchestras of San Antonio is doing its best to make the most of the current pandemic by continuing to provide musical opportunities for young musicians. The dates of the Virtual Summer Symphony Camp is being held on July 13-17.

YOSA Marketing Manager Alex Flores said, “while we miss making music in person, we are committed to staying connected and playing on during these difficult times.” YOSA is dedicated to providing musical outlets for kids all across the San Antonio area, something that many children would benefit from in the strange time of the coronavirus pandemic spreading across America.

This one week camp that the orchestra is putting on will be comprised of all kinds of unique and exciting opportunities for students who are interested in studying the orchestral craft. Campers will get the chance to practice and improve their skill levels, meet new friends who share similar interests, and even work with professional artists.

Young musicians who are interested in joining YOSA should send in their video audition no later than July 15th. Auditions are free of charge and results from the auditions will be announced before summer is over. If you or someone you know is interested in finding out more information about YOSA, what the organization does, and how to submit a video, you can visit the YOSA website.
