Swimming lessons available at YMCA of Greater San Antonio

This post is sponsored by YMCA of Greater San Antonio but all opinions are mine. In fact, I’m a huge fan of the YMCA’s swim programs as both of my kids learned to swim with them. They started with group lessons around the age of four and, once they gained confidence in the water, they moved on to private lessons to strengthen their swimming skills. These days our son (now eight) loves snorkeling and our daughter (now 11)  is a synchronized swimmer with Cygnets of San Antonio! We’ll always be grateful to the YMCA on Thousand Oaks for teaching our kids how to swim.

With services for individuals of all ages and families of all sizes, there is something for everyone at the Y. Our doors are open to all. With swim season approaching, the Y is encouraging children and parents to have their best summer ever by exploring the many benefits of swimming, while also keeping safety top of mind. In the Y’s swim programs, participants can enjoy water sports, enhance or learn new techniques, meet new friends and develop confidence, while also learning safety skills that can save lives.

Swimming is not only a fun, healthy activity, but an important life skill for all children.

In addition to learning lifesaving water safety skills, children can increase their physical activity by swimming. Swimming also motivates children to strive for self-improvement, teaches goal orientation, and cultivates a positive mental attitude and high self-esteem.

To ensure that everyone has an opportunity to participate, financial assistance is available to those in need to help cover the costs. The Y offers swim lessons for all ages, from 6 months to 60 years.

With the Y, a few laps can lead to a lifetime of opportunity. Find out what you or your child is capable of!
