Disclosure: I received a personal tour of Crib & Kids along with a goodie bag that contained a baby loveie and a pacifier clip. I was not compensated for this post and all opinions are mine.
San Antonio Mom Blogs is giving away a crib from Crib & Kids! See details at the bottom of this post.
Crib & Kids, San Antonio’s latest and largest baby and kids’ furniture showroom, located off of 1604 and Blanco at The Vineyard, has a mission:
“To enhance the lives of the families we meet by offering a wide range of quality baby and children’s furniture, coupled with a helpful and knowledgeable staff.”
Owner Courtney Santillano was inspired by her daughter, now 18 months old, to open Crib & Kids.
“When I was pregnant, my husband and I found furniture shopping for our new baby to be overwhelming. We looked for furniture for our daughter but in San Antonio we didn’t find the specialty shops we saw in Houston and Dallas.”
Crib & Kids grew out of Courtney’s desire to supply San Antonio parents with top-notch, quality furniture options will that grow along with their child from birth to around seven to 10 years of age. All of the cribs she sells convert to toddler beds. Many of the models in stock also convert to twin beds and even queen size beds. Crib & Kids carries the country’s top furniture brands, including: Munire, Baby’s Dream & Young America.
While giving me a personal tour of her spacious and beautifully appointed showroom, Courtney pointed out that her store is divided into decorated rooms, each with different furniture and themes to help parents visualize what their nursery can look like.
In addition to gorgeous baby and kids’ furniture, Crib & Kids also carries gliders, diaper bags, strollers, jogging strollers, car seats, custom bedding, crib mattresses and clothing for babies up to one year of age.
Open for a month already, Courtney says she is fortunate to have hired an amazing staff that, like her, provides, “service to the max.”
“We want our customers to make the best decision for their family. We’re here to help.”
When I met with Courtney at Crib & Kids she mentioned that another driving force for wanting to start her own business was so she could spend more time with her daughter. We both marveled at how having our babies changed so many aspects of our lives in ways we never could have anticipated.
“I’m not a risk taker by nature,” said Courtney. “But here I am, a business owner. My daughter is the inspiration for Crib & Kids.”
Stay tuned to the Crib & Kids Facebook page for details on their upcoming grand opening celebration on Memorial Day weekend.
