The restaurant Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar in San Antonio, Texas has created a Father’s Day virtual pairing menu. Sometimes deciding what to do or what to buy for Father’s Day can be challenging. Fathers are notoriously hard to shop for. With quarantine and stay at home orders that are still in place due to COVID-19, it can be even more difficult than shopping for a normal Father’s Day.
Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar in San Antonio is solving all your Father’s Day problems by creating a virtual pairing menu. On Wednesday, June 24th, at 7:00 pm, families can log on for a fun and special experience. Whiskey Cake is partnering with High West Distillery to create a collaborative and four-course virtual pairing experience through Zoom. High West Distillery is based out of Park City, Utah.
This is how it works: the first thing to do is pre-order your pairing dinner kit. After you’ve ordered your dinner kit, you should receive a confirmation email by June 19th. This email will include your zoom ID and the ability to give your father and excellent gift on his special day. You can pick up your Father’s Day kit from Whiskey Kitchen on Tuesday, June 23rd, and can then dial into the zoom call on June 24th to meet Chef Aaron, Director of Beverages, Alan, and the High West representative, Arianne.
The pairing menu will consist of four courses that consist of unique and well-paired dishes such as Dad’s PB&J’s paired with a spiced old fashioned, Grilled Broccoli Salad with a Sapporo Sour, a Braised Bone-in Beef Short Rib and a Straight Pour and a Whiskey Cake paired with a Dealer’s Choice.
