What are San Antonio moms writing about this week? May 12 - 18, 2014

Happy belated Mother’s Day, mamas and grandmamas! I hope your special day was filled with the love of your families and a little downtime to relax and reflect.

Those moments of time to slow down and savor life can be far and few between for moms. We’re a busy bunch and that’s never been more true than it is for San Antonio moms. Luckily for us, busy means productive in a wide variety of ways.

Last week, Patti showed us how to build a raised garden for just $70. Fresh veggies for everyone!

Heather put her creative skills to work planning a spectacular Star Wars birthday party for her daughter. The force was obviously with her (sorry, couldn’t resist!).

Tori got together with Melanie and Michelle and created the #ProudSAWoman campaign to lead San Antonio women on a charge to say, “Enough!” to NBA commentator Charles Barkley over his most recent insults hurtled towards the fairer sex of our city. Women all over San Antonio joined them and Molly Cox created a video message to Not-Sir Charles. Yeah, she kind of nailed it.

Haeley revealed the gorgeous bedroom she redecorated, showing us how a little lovely paint paired with affordable and unique prints from Minted.com transformed an otherwise simple space.

And Christine’s review of the new movie, Legends of Oz, helps parents decide if we should splurge and take the kids to see it on the big screen or wait for the DVD.

I know you’ve been busy too, mamas. What are you writing about this week? Share it here on the San Antonio Mom Blogs’ Link Up all week long!
