What I love about this community of bloggers we’ve built here together is the way we learn from each other, share with each other, and support each other. We all bring varying talents to our blogs and readers and to each other.
Today, Delaney and I went to Michael’s at The Rim to cheer on fellow blogger Lisa with The Pennington Point. Lisa and her delightful daughter, Faith, led a workshop to show us creative ways we can add charming touches to treasured spaces. I’m talented in a few key areas in life, y’all, but arts and crafts and home decor are not among them. Delaney is a natural when it comes to drawing, painting, weaving, and creating wonderful things and so, with Lisa’s help, we spent a lovely afternoon together, practicing our chalk writing and discovering new ways to decorate around our house.
If you get a chance, I hope you’ll visit Lisa’s blog and shop. I’ve long admired her for her calm (and common sense) parenting posts but after seeing her crafty side in action today I plan to dig in to her crafts and DIY posts too. And, for those of you who, like me, have a home overrun with LEGOS, check this out…Lisa created a LEGO ROOM! Yeah, she’s pretty much my new hero.
Tell me, how are you getting crafty in your blog posts (or otherwise) this week? What’s inspiring you enough to write about it? Which bloggers have you met in person recently or who do you want to meet? Share it all here in the Weekly Link Up! 🙂

Ha! I wanted to keep Delaney and take her home with me. She clearly belongs here. 😉 Thanks for coming to cheer me on….I always LOVE to see you! Lisa~
I know, Lisa! How did I give birth to this crafty child? There is not one crafty, DIY bone in my body. 😉
I loved seeing all the pics show up in my Instagram feed. Can’t wait until my girls are a little older and we can do more activities like this! 🙂
Yes, Melissa. It’s fun to do activities together like this one. We had a really good time together, playing and connecting.
Two of my favorite ladies in one post! P.S. I might need hire Delaney for an upcoming rainbow loom making party … what do you think? Would she be up for it?!
Oh, my gosh. YES! I’m sure she would be. 🙂 She teachers all her friends at school and during play dates. 🙂
