It’s March! The sun is starting to peek out. It’ll be 80 degrees today and I hear that the bluebonnets are beginning to bloom. It’s also the month of my daughter’s birth and I’m a total slacker. I’ve got to plan her party–NOW–but before I do, here are some fun things you need to know as you head into your weekend:
Congratulations to San Antonio mom blogger, Lisa, with Crazy Adventures in Parenting. Her beautiful baby girl was born this week on Leap Day!
Check out San Antonio mom blog, Dirtiest Kid in the World, which Pamela, with Red, White, and Grew, shared with me. I adore Josie’s tagline: Raising munchkin, veggies, fruit, chickens, and hell in South Texas. Also of note? Josie’s husband owns Yard to Table here in San Antonio helping people build vegetable and herb gardens in their yards. My thumbs are more purple than green so I’m thinking about checking out his services. I’d love to have a garden this year. How about you?
Don’t forget! Síclovía is this Sunday. Outdoor fun and activities for the whole family on Broadway from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The weather’s supposed to be great on Sunday (sunny with a high of 74). Get up, get out, get moving!
Speaking of summer, if you’re like me, you’re already thinking about your kids’ Summer schedules. What camps will they attend (remember: SA Busy Kids can help with that!)? How will we keep them entertained and educated with out going crazy? One cool idea a friend shared with me is AMF’s Free Bowling for Kids all summer long. Check out the AMF Free Bowling for Kids page and mark your calendar for April 1, when you can register your kids for free games (two games a day, all summer long). What a great way to keep kids active while we enjoy the cool indoors during hot Summer months.
