All year long, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) offers free safety seat check-ups at each of its 25 district offices across the state. Bats in the Neighborhood at Universal City Public Library
What: According to Texas Parks and Wildlife, Texas is the battiest state in the country, home to 32 of the 47 species of bats found in the United States. Come hear Fran Hutchins, Texas Master Naturalist and director of the Bracken Bat Preserve, in a program specially designed for families and younger audiences. While you are at the library, learn about the many places in our area where bats can be viewed, and find out about bat-watching etiquette.

Free Breastfeeding Class at CentroMed
What: Latched is teaming up with CentroMed to offer a free monthly breastfeeding class! This is a free prenatal class designed to assist and encourage women’s success with breastfeeding. What: SÃclovÃa is a free, bi-annual event, organized by the YMCA of Greater San Antonio, that turns city streets into a safe place for exercise and play. The Y accomplishes this by activating parks, bringing exposure to local businesses and inviting community organizations.
