Keeping Your Family Safe Online Class at the Microsoft Store (La Cantera)
What: Participants will learn the basics of keeping themselves and their families safe online. The class will cover how to set parental controls for Windows 10, Bing and Xbox and give tips on how to talk to kids about online safety and cyber-bullying.

Astronomy in the Park – Raymond Rimkus
What: SAAA members will have telescopes set up to show you various objects in the night sky. Astronomers will be setup in the large parking lot near the intersection of Cherryleaf St. and Poss Road. *This is a free event open to the public, however it is dependent on the weather so if it is cloudy or raining the event will be canceled. Check the SAAA Facebook page for updates. Note about the start time: It’s a general time – usually they meet before sunset to set up telescopes and then viewing will start as soon as conditions allow (generally about 1 hour after sunset).

Bird Walk at Brooks – The Greenline SA
What: Come out for bird walks designed for the beginning birder. Traveling by foot, your guide will go over birding identification and the proper use of binoculars, you’ll then explore the Greenline for various species. Advanced birders are also welcome to attend. There will be binoculars available to borrow if you don’t have your own. Meet at the butterfly kite statue in the main area of the park. Bring sunscreen, hat, closed-toed shoes, and water.

What:  Culturinga’s curriculum introduces children to foreign languages through movement, songs, and games and follows the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) guidelines.
