Tumble Bear – PowerHouse Gymnastics
What: For boys and girls ages 5 and under. Tumble Bears Open Gym gives your child the opportunity to experience the benefits of the amazing facilities at Powerhouse. Your child will develop physically and emotionally and burn off energy playing in our gymnastics facility. This is a fun and affordable way to see if our classes will be right for your child.

Open Art at ArtWorks Leon Valley
What: Bring a friend to Artworks. With 12 or more different art stations, vibrant music and plenty of soap and smocks, it’s the perfect answer to the inevitable question, “What are we going to do today?” Pack a snack and a drink!

Hang Indoor Playground – Inclusive Kids HANG Time
What: Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month we will be opened only for our “Inclusive Kids HANG Time.” We will make the facility more sensory sensitive by lowering the music volume and reducing the amount of lights that are on, our monitors in the play area will not be using whistles to redirect children but instead have picture command cards hanging from their lanyards. We will also have velcro strips available at different locations for parents to use if needed as well as a designated de-escalation/calming room (one of the party rooms) in case one of the kiddos becomes over-stimulated. On our website (hangindoorplay.com) we have a social narrative that the parents can download to go over with their child prior to coming into the facility.

Wacky Wednesday at Mitchell Lake
What: Come out for free family fun, nature crafts and exploration, and meet our animal ambassadors!

What: Come join us in space B35 (upper level/next to the clock tower). For ages 5 years and up! One card per person – FREE,
2nd card – available with a donation of 2 can food or non-pershible items for the San Antonio Food Bank and 3rd card – available with donation of two school supply items – Paper/Crayons/Pencils/Pens/Folders/Notebook/Etc. Prizes will be announced before the game, winners will be verified before prize is given and prizes can not be exchanged.

Outdoor Film at the McNay – Selena
What: Join us this summer for our GET REEL Film Series: Films al Fresco. These four family-friendly films were Made in S.A. and feature the Alamo city as a leading character. In celebration of San Antonio 300, this summer’s GET REEL films will be screened outdoors on the Museum grounds (note the later start time). General admission to the Museum is free on Thursday nights thanks to H-E-B. Refreshments available for purchase. Bring a blanket, lawn chairs, and your leashed dog!

Sensory-Friendly Films at AMC
What: Partnering with the Autism Society, AMC Theaters brings Sensory- Friendly Films to families affected by autism in the San Antonio area. The program provides a special opportunity for families to enjoy their favorite films in a safe and accepting environment. The auditoriums dedicated to the program have their lights up, the sound turned down and audience members are invited to get up and dance, walk, shout or sing. Dates and films are subject to change so be sure to verify in advance.

Labor Day Artisan Show
What: Enjoy a stroll along the picturesque River Walk, stop to talk to the artisans who are anxious to share information about their craft, and take home an item that will enhance your home, wardrobe or garden.

Nature Connects: Art with LEGO Bricks at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens
What: Nature Connects is an award-winning sculpture exhibition by Brooklyn-based artist Sean Kenney. Created with nearly half a million LEGO© bricks, the thirteen nature-inspired displays at the San Antonio Botanical Garden include a larger-than-life Monarch butterfly and a 6-foot hummingbird on a trumpet flower!

Camp Gladiator Free Community Class
