Scooby Doo Van San Antonio

Make way, locals! The Scooby Doo Van of San Antonio is launching a new South Side chapter.

San Antonio’s bright and colorful Scooby Doo Van presents a way to help underprivileged kids get excited about reading. Mimicking the look of Scooby Doo’s Mystery Machine, these playful vans serve as “Little Libraries,” and are stocked with free books and “Scooby Snacks.”

Local and Latina-owned magazine Live from the Southside will be taking over this specific chapter of the Scooby Doo Van of San Antonio non-profit. This responsibility includes garnering the support and assistance of small businesses local to San Antonio. By taking on this noble cause, the magazine looks forward to bringing joy to its communities through education, resources, and caring support.

Brooster’s Backyard Icehouse will serve as the first book drop-off station for this brand-new “Little Library.” As a way to celebrate its arrival, the venue will be hosting a welcome party on Saturday, December 26th. From the hours of 4 PM to 7 PM, visitors are invited to stop by with donations, leave with a book or two in tow, or just join in on the fun! Brooster’s Backyard Icehouse is located at 815 Pleasanton Rd, San Antonio, TX 78214. This event is intended for all ages.

This launch marks the first South Side chapter; however, the organization plans to add more to this area of town in the near future. Keep an eye out for a Scooby van cruising through your community!
