The new and highly anticipated Southerleigh Haute South is coming to The Rim in San Antonio and the entire city is buzzing with the news of its (hopefully) quick arrival. The new location will be at 5822 Worth Parkway, Suite 112. Those who frequent The Pearl in San Antonio often have surely been to the well-respected Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery. Their well-received unique seafood menu, oyster bar, and general store has become a staple amongst south Texas foodies. Patrons can expect a more casual operation than the Pearl location at the new restaurant, but surely not a less delicious one.

The Southerleigh Haute South menu will consist of a unique and expansive menu of classic southern food such as fried chicken, fresh oysters, fried crab legs, seafood boils, rotisserie chicken, sandwiches and salads, to name a few. The menu consists of classic southern food and the aesthetic is created to match. The menu, the brick, old wood, and subtle colors make the diner feel like they’re being transported back to a different, simpler, and certainly more delicious time.

The restaurant will serve lunch, dinner, brunch, happy hour, and can be accessed through either curbside or delivery. The new spot will also feature a bar where fans of the Southerleigh’s locally brewed beers and craft cocktails can order a glass to their heart’s content.

“Our fried chicken and seafood have always been some of the fan favorites at our Pearl location,” says Southerleigh chef and owner Jeff Balfour “So when the idea to create a fast-casual concept featuring these items began to take shape a few years back, we were inspired by our customers to further develop our recipes while searching for a location that felt like the perfect fit to launch our new brand.”

The new location has yet to release an official opening date, but many speculate their doors will open sometime during the month of September. Southerleigh chef and owner Jeff Balfour called The Rim “a home-run location.” The new location will also sport a second brewery and eventually a second Haute South to be built at Brooks in 2021.
