Six Flags Fiesta Texas has announced its reopening that will take place on June 19th. Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio is the most recent theme park to solidify a reopening date.

However, due to coronavirus and in attempts to put the health and safety of visitors and employees first, Fiesta Texas will operate at reduced attendance from June 19 to June 21 to see how things go. According to a press release, this preliminary phase will only be open to members and season pass holders.

The park also plans to reopen White Water Bay on June 20 in the preliminary phase.

If things go well, the theme park will gradually increase visitor attendance and eventually open to all on June 22.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas Park President Jeffrey Siebert explained that, “The extensive new safety measures we are implementing allow us to return to the business of providing thrilling family memories in a safe and fun environment,”

Some of the many new protocols involve spreading out guest arrival times, thermal imaging temperature checks, screening technology for touchless bag checks, and mobile food order. If you’d like to visit the park, you must reserve a date and buy tickets online.

Six Flags President and CEO Mike Spanos comments that, “This ’new normal’ will be different in some ways, but we believe these additional measures are appropriate in the current environment,” Fiesta Texas also requires that any visitor over the age of 2 must wear a face mask although facemasks are not required on waterslides, water attractions, or pools.

Beginning on June 4, guests will be able to make reservations to visit the theme park. Because things will look different at the park this summer, it’s wise to do some preliminary research. And of course, don’t miss our guide for saving money at Fiesta Texas.
