When we woke up this morning we could tell that it rained overnight. In San Antonio, that’s a BIG deal. It’s so dry our grass is blonde, not green! My kids ran straight into the backyard to play in the cool(ish) morning air before they’d even had breakfast. That’s when they met this little guy:
He was quite outgoing, stretching his translucent neck out, and exploring the confines of my daughter’s gentle hand.
She eventually placed him in a safe section of our front yard, “so no one, not even Templeton (our dog), will accidentally step on him.” That’s my caring, thoughtful girl.
I love it when Sundays are simple and fun and full of family (and snail friends)!

Love these pictures. My kids are fascinated by things that creep and crawl, but they’re also terrified, so I’m usually left holding them for observation. Stopping by from Simple Things Sunday!
Hi, Ruth Anne! Thanks for stopping by.
My daughter is unusually brave and will pick up lizards, frogs, snails, whatever. She doesn’t get that trait from me. LOL!
How awesome! (I showed your Instagram photo to my oldest and he was a little envious that HE wasn’t the one holding that snail!)
PS: Templeton is an awesome name for a dog! 🙂
Next time it rains, Sara, take him outside and I bet he’ll find a snail or two. We’ve done it before but this one was exceptionally friendly. 🙂
That snail is sooo tiny and cute. I love the one with your daughters hand, it shows how small it is.
Incredible! I’ve never seen such a tiny snail 🙂
