Every year, America celebrates Memorial Day on the last Monday of May as a way to honor all of the servicemen and women who have given their lives in service. This year, Schlitterbahn Waterparks feels that one day isn’t enough and is launching a new “American Heroes Week” the week after Memorial Day to honor not only the soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice, but also the brave first responders who respond to emergencies of all kind. During American Heroes Week, military members and first responders get free admission to Schlitterbahn Waterparks. What’s more American than that?
Schlitterbahn Waterparks are celebrating American Heroes Week starting on Memorial Day (May 27) and running through June 2, 2019. During this week, both active duty and retired members of the military, police officers, firefighters, and EMTs will be honored at Schlitterbahn Waterparks with free admission to all waterparks and 20% off lodging at Schlitterbahn resorts.
In order to take advantage of this great offer, first responders and military members must show valid identification cards or proof of employment at Schlitterbahn Waterpark ticket booths. Military members eligible for free admission include all active duty servicemen and women, retirees, veterans, reservists and Department of Defense employees. Discount admission for spouses or dependents of American heroes are also available at ticket booths in order to make American Heroes Week a special time for families to celebrate this solemn and much-needed holiday together.
