Marla Zickefoose is an honorary San Antonio mom blogger. Although she doesn’t live in San Antonio, she visits our fair city often and I get to see her at many local blogger events. It sure feels like she’s just right next door. 😉

What’s it like where you live and how is the blogging scene there?
I live in a farming city close to Baylor University. It’s a small community that welcomed my family with open arms when we moved here four years ago from Ohio for my husband’s job in the aerospace industry. I am one of just a few bloggers in my city. I love to travel and don’t mind driving to San Antonio for blogging events. The city is beautiful and so are my San Antonio blogger friends!
SavingUGreen is a resource for parents looking to save money, but it’s much more than that, with product reviews, giveaways, recipes, ways to save money, and beauty tips. What’s the one thing you hope your blog accomplishes?
Saving U Green has become my passion to show that it is possible to live a healthy, all-natural lifestyle on a budget. If I can dispel the myth that, “only the rich can eat healthy and organic,” then I’ve accomplished my mission!
You recently attended BlogHer Food. What was that experience like? What was your favorite part?
It was amazing. The sessions were informative and the food was divine! My favorite part was connecting in real life with several brands I have worked with and corresponded in email with for the past three years.
