This weekend, the Riverwalk is presenting a totally Texan twist on the typical winter-themed holiday traditions.
“Cowboy Christmas on the River Walk” will take place from 11 AM through 4 PM on December 19th. This event is brought to you by the Briscoe Western Art Museum, and is unlike any other Christmas festivity you’ll attend! The museum is bringing Western flair to the River Walk for a truly Texan celebration of the holiday.
“Cowboy Christmas on the River Walk” offers up plenty of fun activities for your “little partners” to engage in. A holiday scavenger hunt, caroling, craft activities, and strolling the sculpture garden are just a few of the ways you and your family can choose to enjoy this day.
Cowboy Clause will also be making an appearance at this fun event! Spending storytime with this unique version of Santa will definitely provide Christmas memories that will last a lifetime.
All of this excitement will definitely work up an appetite! Between activities, be sure to grab a snack at Saweet Cupcakes or Lady Picoza food trucks on site. On your way out, the Briscoe Western Art Museum’s gift shop is a must-see. The gift shop will also be offering great holiday deals as an added bonus to this awesome day!
The Briscoe general admission fee will cover the cost to attend this event. Tickets for visiting with Cowboy Claus are sold separately, offered in limited quantity, and must be made in advance. These limitations are designed to provide maximum safety for all who attend.
In addition, virtual visits are also available for purchase! The museum is offering many ways to enjoy this festive and family-friendly event. If you’re interested in having a Cowboy Christmas, you can view your options and RSVP ahead of time through the Briscoe Western Art Museum’s website.
