To try and curb the spread of Coronavirus, last week many area schools announced decisions to delay returning from Spring Break. Today, most schools across the San Antonio area have decided to extend that delay to April 3rd.
In order to continue educating students despite school closures, some districts will attempt to implement remote learning. SAISD is one of those districts:
Dear SAISD Families: SAISD schools will remain closed through Friday, April 3. Remote learning will begin Monday, March 23. See letter: https://t.co/uTMgNcv9X0 pic.twitter.com/tXQR8SvyR0

Since the Governor has waived STAAR testing requirements for the school year, districts will be able to work through the bugs related with remote learning without worrying about the pressures of standardized testing.
Below is a list of school districts we know for sure have announced closure through April 3rd:
- San Antonio ISD
- North East ISD
- Edgewood ISD
- South San ISD
- Harlandale ISD
- Judson ISD
- South Side ISD
- Alamo Heights ISD
- Fort Sam ISD
- Somerset ISD
Boerne ISD stated it will no close through April 3.
We expect more districts to make announcements and will update as information becomes available.
