As the current epidemic keeps restaurants closed for dine-in, many restaurants are converting into makeshift grocery stores to help meet grocery demands as well as to try and stay afloat during the difficult times. Chef Michael Sohocki is getting especially creative. Not only is he selling ingredients from his restaurant, the renowned Restaurant Gwendolyn, but he has also launched a weekly video series on how to cook with them.
The first video in the series provides a recipe and cooking demo for minestrone soup. You can view the video below:
You can expect new videos to go live each Thursday on the Restaurant Gwendolyn Instagram account. The restaurant is also offering takeout dishes. The chef is also looking for donations for a new nonprofit that seeks to deliver daily box lunches for local healthcare workers.
