Port Aransas, which might be the most popular vacation spots for San Antonians, is in fact open. However, this comes with some caveats. It’s only open for foot traffic. That means the beaches are closed to vehicles. You can expect very limited parking in the area, so getting to the beach will prove difficult. You can read more in the FAQ posted by Visit Port Aransas here.
According to the National Park Service Facebook page, Padre Island National Seashore will be closed from now through Tuesday morning at 6 am. This also includes both overnight camping and overnight parking at the Bird Island Basin Boat ramp.
And if you’re looking to go further south to the beautiful beaches of South Padre, you’ll want to know that Cameron County has closed county beach access areas all the way until July 13th.
