Planet Pioneers at the Witte Museum

Mars has long held a special place within the human imagination. Mars is the closest planet to our own (for most of the year), and wondering what exactly may or may not be found on the Red Planet has been one of mankind’s most burning questions. To help San Antonians get an up close and personal glimpse at the Martian surface, our own Witte Museum is hosting Planet Pioneers, an extraordinary, extraterrestrial experience which invites visitors to explore other worlds. Best of all? You can get half-off tickets to Planet Pioneers while supplies last.

Planet Pioneers lets museum visitors see if they have what it takes to survive on another world by inviting them to participate in interactive exhibits in which guests can travel to another planet and adapt to the exotic conditions found on the surface. While much of Planet Pioneers is focused on Mars, the exhibit features exhibits about all of our solar system’s planets and even unknown distant exoplanets.

At Planet Pioneers, budding astronauts and scientists (and their grown-ups) can take part in a wide variety of interactive, state-of-the-art exhibits. Visitors can get behind the wheel of a 4-D Surface Exploration Vehicle, land a rocket, experience powerful G-forces in a centrifuge, or take part in 14 other challenging activities designed to prepare the explorers of the future for interplanetary missions.

San Antonio’s own Witte Museum is hosting Planet Pioneers from February 2 to April 7, 2019. Admission to this special exhibit usually costs $19, but currently has tickets for just $9.50 – a discount of 50% off! Visit the link to see all available dates and times. Be sure to get these half-off tickets fast, because these are sure to blast off more quickly than a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket!

The Witte Museum  is located at 3801 Broadway St, San Antonio, TX 78209. For more information call (210) 357-1900 or visit
