The Magik Theatre is back!
Dragons Love Tacos is coming to the Magik Theatre in San Antonio, Texas. The Magik Theatre has been in operation since 1994 and specializes in providing the San Antonio community’s children and their families with, “professional, accessible, literature-based theatre and education since 1994.”
Dragons Love Tacos will be performed May 29- May 31, 2020, for subscribers and public performances will be held June 3- June 21, 2020.
The play is based on the book Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin with illustrations by Daniel Salmieri, published by Penguin Group. Theatre lovers can look forward to a stage adaptation by Ernie Nolan that is produced by special arrangement with Plays for Young Audiences.
This play is recommended for children from ages 3- 10. If you’re looking to get your family out of the house for some beginning of summer fun, consider coming to see Dragons Love Tacos.
According to the Magik Theatre website, “While a boy and his dog are watching TV, they unexpectedly learn the ‘Do’s and Dont’s’ of what kinds of tacos to serve dragons. Unfortunately, when the boy throws his new dragon friends a spicy salsa taco party, red-hot trouble ensues!”
Families can discover the ins and outs of what kind of tacos to feed dragons in this fun-filled production that is based on The New York Times Best Selling Book Dragons Love Tacos. The silly and entertaining story will keep your entire family laughing along as a young boy and his dog try to decide just exactly what kind of tacos a dragon prefers.
According to the Magik Theatre, all reservations must be made in advance and no tickets will be sold at the door. To comply with COVID-19 safety instructions, audiences will be limited to 25% capacity and everyone attending the play over the age of two will be required to wear a mask while inside the theatre.
