Splash pad fountain at The Pearl in San Antonio

If you planned on hanging out at the Historic Pearl and other outdoors spaces this weekend for 4th of July fun, you’ll need want to read this.

First of all, Pearl Brewery has closed its outdoor spaces for the weekend. The closure includes:

  • Parkito
  • Ampitheater
  • Park

Judge Wolff and Mayor Nirenberg have also decided to close all public parks over the weekend as well.

“We know what happened back on Memorial Day,” Judge Wolff said. “We know the good part of what we did back on Easter. Nothing closed on Memorial Day, so we want to take extra precaution of closing of the parks for July 4th.”

While the parks will remain closed through Monday at 9 am, parts of the trails will remain open. These include two segments of the City’s Howard Peak Greenway Trail System, which passes through Rodriguez Park, (Leon Creek Trail) and Comanche/Covington Park (Salado Creek Trail).

The boat ramp at Medina Lake will also be closed.
