However, this time, the cups with not only boast a new design, but also new Slurpee flavors. Stripes convenience stores have officially released that the last two Selena cups in their four-cup series created to honor the infamous Tejano singer.

As the 25-year anniversary of Selena’s tragic murder approaches, the gas station has partnered with Selena’s sister, Suzette Quintanilla. Suzette has been instrumental in not only creating designs for the Selena cups, but in creating new Slurpee flavors as well.  The new flavors will consist of sour cherry, lime and salt and will all be colored purple, to honor Selena’s favorite color.

Her sister Suzette explains in a release that “Selena loved cherry-flavored drink packets mixed with salt growing up,” “I have such great memories of us riding our bikes after school to get Slurpee drinks, so being able to create a Selena-inspired Slurpee drink for just 25 cents is our way to say ‘Thank You’ to all her fans that are remembering her with so much love.”

Yes. It only costs 25 cents to purchase a fun Selena themed Slurpee drink. Beginning of September 25, the San Antonio Stripes locations will offer buyers a Selena-inspired Slurpee for only 25 cents. The promotion will begin Friday at 7:00 pm and will be extended until 8:00 am the following day to total a full 25-hour special timeline. One person is not allowed to buy more than six Selena cups at a time.
