There is a new cookie shop that is now open in San Antonio’s Stone Oak and they’re giving away free cookies. Texas Cookie Shop is now open in Stone Oak on the North Side of San Antonio. As businesses begin to reopen, some new businesses are also opening their San Antonio doors for the first time.
The new bakery, which opened Thursday is on Stone Oak Parkway near Evans Road. Texas Cookie Shop features gourmet cookies that come in flavors like cookies and cream, German chocolate, Mexican hot chocolate, dulce de leche, and Texas Ranger. Texas Cookie Shop also offers more cookie flavors like chopped pecans, coconut, and chocolate. All cookies are baked and prepared by the owner Jared Sorenson and his family.
Sorenson kindly explains in a press release that, “People are burned out with the stress of COVID-19, and we could all use a little cheer right now,”
As his new cookie shop opens, Jared also says, “My favorite part about getting ready to launch has been taking cookies to friends and neighbors to sample and to see the smile that spreads across their faces.” Amidst the unsure, and also often stressful season that is the coronavirus pandemic, a free cookie and a smile for a neighbor may be one of the most helpful things for a San Antonio resident to receive.
On Saturday, June 6th, the first 50 customers in line will receive aa free cookie. Texas Cookie Shop is also running a deal where every order of a half-dozen cookies or more that is made that day will get two free cookies.
Texas Cookie Shop is a welcome addition to the San Antonio Northside community. Texas Cookie Shop is open Monday through Saturday from noon to 8:00 pm. However, for now, Texas Cookie Shop only plans to offer takeout and delivery only.
