La Gloria’s margarita truck is taking to the streets of San Antonio to provide residents with a refreshing adult beverage delivered right to their doorstep. Chef Hernandez owns La Gloria and is the mastermind behind the tequila truck that is serving San Antonio residents. As businesses are continually adapting to the ever-changing economic climate that the coronavirus has created, many restauranteers have gotten creative and begun to offer their food and drink in whole new ways.
Hernandez explains that “Our Margarita Trucks are another fun and creative way to adapt to the ever-changing business landscape, Today, safety is top of mind for everyone, and many of our customers are simply not ready to dine out; however, we know that doesn’t mean they don’t crave one of our famous margaritas.” The traveling menu sports several different margaritas, from La Gloria’s signature Blue margarita to other fruit-flavored ones like Mango and Prickly Pear. Patrons can order 16 oz glasses with a 50 ML add-on of El Jimador tequila for $10. But the restaurant isn’t stopping at your favorite frozen drink delivered. The truck also offers a Bistec Taco Kit that you can order alongside a Blue margarita.
You can order your delicious cocktail and taco combination here, but make sure to look at delivery times first. If you live within the delivery zone, your signature traveling margarita can get to your door on Tuesday between 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday and Saturday from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday.
La Gloria is one of the many local eateries that was forced to layoff employees when the pandemic hit back in March. Hernandez says “Delivering to our customers’ homes does not only make enjoying our signature margaritas safer and more convenient, but this new avenue of serving our customers also helps to rebuild our business, in turn, allowing us to hire back more members of our team,” Hernandez said.
