The Hyatt Regency San Antonio has reopened after a four-month closure due to COVID-19. The Hyatt at the Riverwalk is one of San Antonio’s largest, most well-known, and frequented hotels in town. As the Hyatt reopens, they have put safety measures in place to ensure the health and safety of their employees and guests who visit the hotel and stay there.

Much has changed in the city of San Antonio over the last four months. Being one of the first places in Texas to contract a coronavirus case, San Antonio has been directly affected by the infamous coronavirus that has plagued the year of 2020. In fact, Bexar County has unfortunately confirmed more than 36,000 cases and over 480 deaths. As the Hyatt reopens, they do so in an environment that is continuously oscillating between the “critical” and “severe” area on the risk-level scale.

Due to the unfortunate conditions of the city, as the Hyatt reopens, they have put in a place a series of strict measures to ensure the health and safety of their employees and guests including things like virtual check-ins, social distance markers, limited seating areas in common spaces, and hand sanitizing stations paired with employee wipe downs of public surfaces.

The Hyatt reopens with its guest rooms and restaurant still operating under normal business hours. Guests can visit Q Kitchen |Bar for breakfast and dinner and guests will still have access to the hotel’s infamous rooftop pool, which is known as the highest in the city.

According to a press release, Hyatt reopens with a newly acquired trained hygiene and wellbeing leader that will make sure all safety protocols are followed. These protocols are not only for guests who visit the hotel, but for employees on shift. Hyatt also requires employees to wear face masks while working and guests to wear them outside of their rooms in accordance with state guidelines.

The Hyatt Regency San Antonio is now offering a 20% discount for those booking through August 31st.
