How to Watch NFL Games Online

Many of you are surely familiar with Netflix, Hulu, and other on-demand streaming services. But did you know that there are streaming platforms that let you watch live TV – including sports?

These services (discussed in detail below) give you live access to all your favorite channels, at a fraction of the cost of cable TV. Here are the basics of using these services:

  • Typically cost around $55 a month (details below)
  • NO contract or commitment
  • Works over the internet – no cable required, but you do need home WiFi/Broadband
  • Gives you LIVE access to anywhere from 30 to 100+ channels, depending on your package
  • Watch on your TV via a Roku/Chromecast/Apple TV/etc, or on your mobile devices, computers and more

These streaming services give you access to the same TV channels as cable. However, availability of local networks like NBC, FOX, etc varies depending on where you live. Be sure to check the channels available in your area during the signup process. You’ll also want to check the TV schedule for your favorite teams to see which channels their games air on!

Watch NFL Game Replays with NFL Game Pass

NFL Game Pass

Basics: On-demand replays of all regular season games. Live streaming of out-of-market games
Price: $100 per season, or 4 payments of $29.99

NFL Game Pass is offered by the NFL itself. It’s different from the rest of the services discussed here because it does not offer live streaming of any TV channels per say. What it does offer is on-demand replays of ALL regular season games, starting shortly after they air live.

You can also watch football live on this service, but only when it’s an out-of-market game. For instance, San Antonio residents could watch, say, the Seahawks play live – but they’ll have to wait for the on-demand replay for Cowboys or Texans games. If you don’t mind the wait, this is a good way to stream football games without cable.
